Susan Van and I rebranded Joe Tea in Stuart Werle's Packaging Design class at OCAD University in Toronto, Canada. Our aim was to design a clean, consistent, minimalistic look that could be expanded across the different iced tea flavours offered. Our design works in a way in which it could also be expanded to chips fairly easily.
Joe Tea is an Independent Family Business founded in New Jersey, and now ships to over 20 countries worldwide. They produce delicious natural flavoured iced tea and chips. It was important for us to maintain design elements such as the truck, which is central to the company and reminds the founder of his childhood.
We added French to comply with Canadian packaging standards and conducted research on the company and the reasoning behind the design choices to make sure that through the redesign, we wouldn't be eliminating existing customers.
